Like teenagers at the mall, the annoying people who talk during movie previews and the heinous individuals who wear obnoxiously large hats at sporting events, we are the annoying people at the fast food restaurant. We laugh, we giggle, we make a scene but we don’t care. For some of us it’s the only vacation we’ve had in close to six months and we spend the rest of the year overly concerned with our lives in New York so for now, we drink and be merry.

An allegorical alarm sounds and we know that it’s time to wrap. (Or perhaps I just said “shall we” as I shook my empty cherry lime aid slush). We are a short distance from our destination and several talks of what to do, when to do, where to do have been previously stated. The opportunity for epic selfies at Joshua Tree awaits.
